Throughout the year I host various contests through my networking/discussion group on Fine Art America.

September 2022:

Ms.Tanushree Bhattacharya is from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has a master's in Environmental Science and working as an Editorial Assistant at IIT Bombay. She is a passionate painter and self-taught. Tanushree started painting after a lockdown in April 2020 for stress relief and to stay optimistic about the tragic incidences in her life. Over these years, She has painted over 200 paintings on different themes. She strives to paint versatile themes: landscape, seascape, cityscape, forest, portrait, animals, birds, or heritage. Ms. Bhattacharya started painting using oil pastels, and mainly uses Acrylic and a mixture of Acrylic and poster colors on Cartridge papers. Her efforts have resulted in winning many contests.

The "Fifth People at Work" contest is the latest of a yearly contest held around Labor Day. It does not matter how successful as much as what does matter is what is done for others. Congratulations to David Zimmerman for his winning entry.

Congratulations to Carol Rothstein Montoya and Maria Hunt on their winning entries in the "Pen and Ink" contest sponsored by the Survivors Group on FAA.

 

February 26, 2016:

Congratulations to Bob George who won the contest *I Remember Saigon" sponsored by the Survivors Group on FAA. The contest was held to coincide with the anniversary of the Tet Offensive started by the communist on January 30, 1968. The many who fought or died (including non-combatant civilians) are still remembered.

 

July 19, 2015:

Congratulations to the winners in the contest “Communicating Laudato Si.” This contest is not just about art. It is about transferring words into images, showing the beauty of the planet, showing the connections among all of us, and how we love and respond to our creator and this planet he made for us. Congratulations to two of the winners, and much thanks to them for sharing their work with us.
